O-Scent Agri : neutralising DMDS
DMDS (Dimethyl disulfide) is an organic sulfur compound with a strong odor. Arkema (the largest producer of Dimethyl disulfide) wants to use it as an alternative to methyl bromide in agriculture, namely for the gassing of the soil to free it of nematodes, fungi and weeds before planting the crop.
The problem is the strong garlic-like odor of DMDS which is a nuisance for nearby residents.
WVT Industries has developed O-Scent Agri that captures the scent-molecules and neutralizes them.
